3. This film definitely met all of the expected genres. It was full of action and guns/explosions. As well as, love, and a bad guy that is a genius. It also had the mind twisting bad guy turn the good guys evil.

4. This movie was definitely great! It was full of action and GOOD explosions/gun scenes. The directing was good in terms of the story line. The storyline was phenomenal. It definitely had everything that an action movie should have and so much more. I would recommend this movie to anyone who would want to watch it: young or old. It is a great movie and it is not vulgar.

1. Stu is a publicist who lives off lying. He goes to the same phone booth every single day at the same exact time to talk to a girl that isn’t his wife names Pam.

2. As Stew hangs up, the phone rings again, and it is a mystery man claiming that he knows Stu, and has been watching him.

3. Because Stu will get killed if he hangs up, he doesn’t get off, and a bouncer threatens Stu to get off the phone. The bouncer continues to argue and the mystery man shoots him in the back, making Stu look like the killer.

4. The police shows up, and when there is a crowd, the mystery man blackmails Stu into confessing to his wife about lying and about Pam.

5. The police think that they found the mystery man dead in his hotel room, but he has fled. Stu truly apologizes to Kelly. Right before Stu is knocked out my narcotics, he sees the mystery man.

This genre usually includes one man against all odds, and the audience truly roots for him to make it through and be okay.

This movie met all the conventions. The plot was very realistic, and revolved around one character throughout the whole movie. The story line was extremely nerve-wrecking, and towards the end emotional. It definitely represented one man against all odds, and made the audience root for Stu and other characters to make it out alive.

This movie was one of the best drama movies that i have ever seen. I enjoyed the fact that the movie took place in one setting, and truly represented the title. The story line kept me wanting more, and at the end, i was not disappointed. The fact that Stu actually got to see the mystery man was very clever. Watching a movie about a conversation in a phone booth, would never be apealing to me, but this movie was amazing. My favorite part of this movie is the tagline: A ringing phone has to be answered. This is what got the movie started. Great movie.

I would recommend this movie to people over 13 years old due to language, and anyone who wants to sit down, and be nervous for 81 min. Anyone who likes dramas with a satisfying amount of suspense will really enjoy this movie.

5 Turning Points

1. Johnny Utah goes undercover as a surfer and meets Bohdi. Tyler, and the rest of their group.
2. Johnny discovers Bohdi and his friends are the President robbers, so he and Angelo try to catch them but fail.
3. Bohdi finds out about Johnny being an FBI agent, so he blackmails him into doing what he says, in order to save Tyler.
4. Johnny helps them rob their last bank in exchange for Tyler’s where-abouts, but a gunfight starts up and many people die, including Angelo.
5. Tyler is saved, and Bohdi gets away. but when Bohdi is found, Johnny lets him surf into the 50 year storm. Bohdi dies.

An action film usually consists of a story line including criminals, cops or both. The ending usually results in the good guys beating the bad guys, and there is always a girl involved.

How did the movie meet or contradict the conventions?

3. This movie most definitely met the conventions of its genre. It was action packed the whole time. The fighting, the ridiculously long chases, and the explosions were ll included in this film. The storyline included Johnny as the cop and Bohdi as a criminal. and the end result was the obvious one. The good guy wins.

4. I REALLY enjoyed this movie. The storyline was very good and it made sense. I enjoyed that it wasn’t all about explosions every 5 minutes. It was full of suspense and action but it was scattered throughout the movie proportionally, the director did a good job with this movie. I would recommend this movie to a 13 and over age group/audience just because of the vulgar content of people dyeing and some sexual content. Other than that it is a great movie that is not often heard about but is better than a lot of action movies that are produced, directed and published now a days.

4. One night when Reuben brings Polly back from a night out, Reuben’s wife comes back. Polly then decides to leave town.
5. Reuben tells his wife that he doesn’t want to take her back. He chases Polly and tells her that he would do anything to be with her.

-> This movie met all of conventions of a romantic comedy film. It had the love at first sight which was between Polly and Reuben, and throughout the movie, Rueben did everything he had to do to go out with Polly. There were funny moments between Rueben and Polly (e.g.. Exotic food night). In all romantic comedies there is always a conflict, and as suspected it appeared in this one. Rueben’s wife who cheated on him, came back and it caused trouble between Rueben and Polly. In the end, Rueben fell in love with Polly, and although it took Polly some time, she did as well, and there was a happy ending.

The Review
Story-> The dialogue suited this type of film quite well. There was also a modern feel to the dialogue that was used. Also, the way the character Claude (scuba diving instructor) had done his lines added to the comedy because he had used an accent that was funny (the accent had a french twist to it). The events that took place had a general outcome of others that could and have been in the situations that had occurred in this film. The plot fulfilled all the requirments of a romantic comdey. But at times, the storyline had been obvious and expected.
The directing-> The sense of direction was done in a great way that had connected the audience to the storyline.
Lighting->The lighting in some scenes had been too dim at some points but overall it had reflected the concept of everyday light (such as the lighting outside).
Filming-> The sets and locations used made it seem more realistic which is something that I personally likes. The overall experience of making the film looked like the characters had a lot of fun and enjoyed playing their parts. Acting: The actors/actresses used to play the characters were chosen wisely. They had played their roles with great enthusiasim and each of them got into character quite well. They used well-known Hollywood actors/actresses such as Jennifer Aniston and Ben Stiller, which probably gave the movie recognition and made others want to see it because all of the great work these people have already done in the past. They are also well liked.
I would recommend this movie to teenagers as well as adults. The context used at times were not suitable for those under the age of 13 due to sexual reasons. Although, women usually enjoy the film gendre, romantic comedies, I feel as though the gender of a person will not matter when it comes down to whether or not they would like this specific film. “Along Came Polly” is a great film that will gain many fans due to the storyline and characters.

Once all our filming was completed, we needed to retrieve our data. It was not working, so Mr.Penning, took it home over the weekend, and did it for us. When we came back that week, my whole team was gone due to school trips. I had to edit the movie by myself. Although it is my job, feedback from my members would have been delightful.

Step by Step: Having to edit was not very difficult. I’ve used the program Premiere before and i am familiar with it. Once the footage was uploaded, i cut down scenes and only kept the parts that were useful. Once all the scenes were in order, i had to adjust the brightness, and contrast to make all equal. I then had to shorten certain clips to make them faster because that was an initial idea in the group’s mind. Unfortunately i am not yet finished with the edited, and once i am, i will pass it on to the sound guy

When we first wrote the t-script, we were ready to follow line by line, and date by date, but it changed. Not to mention any names, but our director. (sorry)… lost the t-script, and we had no sense of organization. We filmed from what we remember but it turned out that we had an excellent memory one the t-scrip was found. After the first day of filming, we got organized, and followed the mental plane that we all wrote in our minds, and as a team got it together and finished.

Our group decided to create awareness on Relationship abuse, because in my opinion, i feel that this topic is one that should be delt with, and should be warned about. It is not one that is publicized much, and victims just take it. This is not the only reason why we chose this specific topic over the others.

The topic listed above besides th e one we chose are over-done. They are payed attention to a lot more than anything else, and originality, and thought was put into this brainstorming process. Relationship abuse is equally as important as Mental, Physical abuse. Its actually all part of the same category. So why isn’t it focused on as much as the others?

- I belive that I deserve a 4 out of 6. I gave myself a 4 because I defined my problem, and described it thoroughly and clearly. I wrote down several (4) sources which helped me investigate the causes and the problems of my project. I have indicated and slightly described a test I will use to test my product. I belive I reached my goal/intention.

I gave myself a 4. I feel that i only deserve a 4 because my designs were made, but not inserted into my blog. My designs were very affective and helped in the creation of my product. I evaluated my designs and listed different ways of presenting my project. I justified my final design, and showed why.

I belive that I deserve a 5 in this criteria because i planned everything and it all made sense. My plans to create this project were well written, and precise. I wrote out all the work needed to complete my project, with a particular day assigned. I did what was required for this section.

My creation process was done like it was planned out. I explained the reasons why I chose o use certain materials, and listed every detail about the video. I answered every question from the project, and although my working environment was tremendously loud, I made sure that it was harmless to myself and others. I also listed the changes from my project, and in result, my project has an appropriate quality.

Explain how you are using tools, materials, and techniques

-For the representation of my creation (my video), I have used the most used and familiar technology, a computer. I have created the video by using the internet and a fair amount of programs on the computer itself. I used Adobe InDesign, a program that always you to create and edit a video independently. To film my lessons, i used a HD camera, that was lent to me by Mr.Penning. In order to edit, and create the video, i used the program InDesign, that is part of the Adobe package, and slowly edited it. I recorded my voice, using a home microphone, and installed it into my video. The recordings described the type of stroke that was being demonstrated at that moment. I used websites, and books, to get information on how the stroke is properly done. i included pictures that were easily downloaded from a global website. www.google.ca. I kept my project simple because my main target audience was children. In order to get info on this topic, i had to go through many websites, and search for specific strokes that i did not know about. I feel that children can benefit from this video, especially if they are beginner swimmers.

Discuss how you are establishing a safe working environment for yourself and others

- I am establishing a safe working environment for myself and others by not including dangerous objects or information that may put anyone in a bad or negative environment. I want people to learn from my website and get the help they need, if needed. My project was mostly done at school, and there were many distraction that sometimes distracted me from doing my work. Working in a quiet environment is best when dealing with something serious. unfortunately I didn’t have that chance.

Justify any changes to your original design

-Nothing really was changed. Many things were added and taken out to certain parts, but never changed. Due to lack of time, i had to take out certain parts of my project so that i would be able to finish on time. It was very disappointing, but it had to be done.
